Meeting called to order at 7:00 pm.  Miner, Herbert, Heber, Werner present.  Davis absent.

Motion to approve December minutes by Heber, seconded by Miner.  Approved unanimous.

Motion to nominate Miner for Secretary by Hebert, seconded by Werner.  Motion approved - ayes Werner, Herbert, Hebert.  Abstain - Miner.

Softball action

There is enough interest to have both a LL and PL softball team to join the IVL in 2024.  Coaches are secured and player interest is known with enough certainty to have 1 team at each level.

Baseball action

Discussion included Walford being the rotation host the baseball LL and PL tournament.  Concern was expressed by several with hosting knowing that there may not be enough players for a PL team.  Miner will contact IVL chairperson to discuss options of alternative host sites for 2024 season.

Baseball/softball general discussion and actions:

T-ball - Fairfax Recreation is moving T-ball to Tues and Thus (from Sunday), with one game per week per team, either Tues or Thurs. T-ball will remain co-ed.

Fairfax Recreation department is also moving mechanical pitch to Wednesdays, 5:30 or 6:30 pm (TBD). The T-ball change may create small diamond scheduling challenges to work through for the first few weeks of the LL baseball and softball season.

Discussion on fee and supplies/resources costs associated with ball teams.  Motion by Werner, seconded Miner to keep the baseball/softball registration fee at $30 per player for t-ball and mechanical pitch and raise it to $45 per player for the LL and PL baseball and softball teams. Approved unanimous.

Motion to approve 2024 concession stand lease to Russell Hebert by Werner, seconded by Herbert.  Approved unanimous.
