Walford City Council ProceedingsRegular Meeting                                                                                                                                January 9, 2017Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m., by Mayor Randy Bauer.Roll Call: Hoskins, Huber, Kane, and Plogman present. Bergmeier was absent.Huber moved approval of the agenda as posted, seconded by Hoskins. Roll Call: Unanimous.Kane moved approval of the December 12, 2016 minutes as posted and published, seconded by Plogman. Roll: Unanimous.Kane moved approval of the December 31, 2016 Treasurer’s Report, seconded by Huber.Roll Call: Unanimous.Hoskins moved approval of the January Expenditures, seconded by Kane. Roll Call: Unanimous.Guest, Dan Swick and Aaron Votroubek of South Slope were present to update information on fiber optic technology in place, services offered, years of service and the recipient of the Rural Broadband Association Smart Rural Community Award.Ordinance No. 203 amending the Walford Code of Ordinances Chapter 165.14 9(2) Titled Rear Yard – Exceptions, was tabled for revisions.Huber introduced Resolution No. 1-17-1 Setting Hearing and Letting date of February 13, 2017 for the 2017 HMA Street Improvement Project, seconded by Kane. Roll Call: Unanimous.Project streets are Uthoff Drive and A Avenue W.Brief discussion regarding budget workshop session. Scheduled for Monday January 30, 2017, 7:00 p.m.Park and Recreation January 3, 2017 Minutes were received and placed on file.Other areas of discussion included but not limited to the following: Council member Jeff Kane attendance to the Walford Community Night at the Roughriders, possible another communitynight in 2017.Kane moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:31 p.m., seconded by Plogman.
