Walford City Council Proceedings

Regular Meeting                                                                                                                              October 13, 2014

Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m., by Mayor Pro Tem Jeff Kane.

Roll Call: Goodwin, Hoskins, Kane, Plogman. Huber was absent.

Goodwin moved approval of the agenda as posted, seconded by Plogman. Roll Call: Unanimous.

Hoskins move approval of the minutes from September 8 and September 15 as posted and published, seconded by Goodwin. Roll Call: Unanimous.

Hoskins moved approval of the September 30, 2014 Treasurer’s Report, seconded by Plogman.

Roll Call: Unanimous.

Goodwin moved approval of the October Expenditures, seconded by Hoskins. Roll Call: Unanimous.

Residents were present to voice concerns with neighbor’s dog. Benton County Sheriff’s office must be contacted for proper reporting.

Fire Chief Mike Sankot was present to discuss replacement of aging first responder vehicle. 

Resident was present to inquire about proposed duplex water, screening, and location.

Plogman introduced Ordinance No. 198 approving the rezoning of property owned by Dennis Lee from “M-1” Restricted Industrial District to “B-1” Commercial District on its Third Reading, seconded by Hoskins. Roll Call: Unanimous.

Hoskins moved approval of the Final Adoption of Ordinance No. 198, seconded by Plogman. Roll Call: Unanimous.

Hoskins introduced Resolution No. 10-14-1 approving the appointment of Randy Bauer to fill the Mayor vacancy, seconded by Kane. Roll Call: Unanimous.

Goodwin introduced Resolution No. 10-14-2 approving the Annual State Urban Renewal Tax Increment Financing Report for FY 13/14, seconded by Hoskins. Roll Call: Unanimous.

Goodwin introduced Resolution No. 10-14-3 approving the purchase of playground equipment, not to exceed $18,000.00, seconded by Hoskins. Roll Call: Unanimous. 

Park minutes received and placed on file.

Goodwin moved approval of the renewal of Janitorial Services with Dawn Tiedeman, seconded by Hoskins. Roll Call: Unanimous.

Council reviewed First and Second Quarter Sheriff Report, Report placed on file.

Other areas of discussion included but not limited to the following: Trash cans to large are now being tagged for non-pick up, Clerk attending IMFOA, Sterling truck repairs, and use of building for Leadership conference.

Hoskins moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:55 p.m., seconded by Kane. Roll Call: Unanimous.
