Walford Parks and Recreation MinutesRegular Meeting May 2, 2017Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairperson Amy Ellis.Roll Call: Ellis, Gann, Meyers, Miner and Reed were present. None absent.Gann moved approval of the April 4, 2017 minutes, seconded by Miner. Roll Call: Unanimous.Board discussed new playground purchase for Knapp Creek Park.Gann moved to purchase playground equipment from Playworld, Model # Fun-1483 in the amount of$14,020, seconded by Meyers. Roll Call: Unanimous.Gann to seek bid from Zogg & Associates for installation.Fireworks Show on schedule for Saturday June 10th at dusk. Iowa Valley Men’s League will havea doubleheader that afternoon prior to the fireworks.Baseball program discussion included: Uniforms, handing out equipment to coaches this week, and back ground checks for the coaches.Maintenance discussion included: swing repair/painting, and diamond lights repair.No citizen comments.Gann moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:33 p.m., seconded by Reed.
