Walford City Council ProceedingsRegular Meeting                                                                                                                  Monday July 10, 2017Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Mayor Pro Temp Jeff Kane.Roll Call: Bergmeier, Hoskins, Huber, Kane, and Plogman were present. Mayor Bauer was absent.Huber moved approval of the agenda as posted seconded by Hoskins. Roll Call: Unanimous.Bergmeier moved approval of the minutes from June 20, 2017 as posted and published, seconded by Plogman. Roll Call: Unanimous.Hoskins moved approval of the June 30, 2017 Treasurers Report, seconded by Bergmeier.                     Roll Call: Unanimous.Huber moved approval of the July expenditures, seconded by Plogman. Roll Call: Unanimous.Plogman moved to rescind Resolution No. 6-17-4 setting FY 17/18 Salaries for appointed Officers and Employees, seconded by Hoskins. Roll Call: Aye: Hoskins, Huber, Kane, Plogman.Abstain: Bergmeier. Motion carried.Huber introduced Resolution No. 7-17-1 setting FY 17/18 Salaries for Appointed Officers and Employees with adjustment, seconded by Hoskins. Roll Call: Aye: Hoskins, Huber, Kane, Plogman.Abstain: Bergmeier. Motion carried.Bergmeier introduced Resolution No. 7-17-2 approving the purchase of Replacement Outdoor Warning Siren located at B Avenue W. in the amount of $19,614.50, seconded by Plogman. Roll Call: Unanimous.Plogman moved approval of the Hart -Fredrick Consultants P.C. Project Agreement for Preliminary Design work for Second Street S., seconded by Bergmeier. Roll Call: Unanimous.Other areas of discussion included but not limited to the following: Fireworks, dangerous Amana traffic, and Clerk reported that 5 sealed bids were received for property sale.July Parks and Recreation meeting was cancelled, due to lack of quorum.Huber moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:23 p.m., seconded by Hoskins.
