Walford City Council ProceedingsRegular Meeting                                                                                                                 Monday October 8, 2018Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m., by Mayor Bill Voss.Roll Call: Bergmeier, Huber, Kane, and Pegump were present. Voss was absent.Bergmeier moved approval of the agenda as posted, seconded by Kane. Roll Call: Unanimous.Kane moved approval of the September 17, 2018 minutes as posted and published, seconded by Bergmeier. Roll Call: Unanimous.Pegump moved approval of the September 30, 2018 Treasurer’s Report, seconded by Kane.                  Roll Call: Unanimous.Kane moved approval of the October Expenditures, seconded by Huber. Roll Call: Unanimous.Deputy Tim Tindal of the Linn County Sheriff Department was present to answer questions with monthly Sheriff Report. Report received and placed on file.Bergmeier moved approval of the Kingery Manufacturing Workforce Report for Economic Development Grant payments pursuit to the May 9, 2016 Development Agreement, seconded by Kane.                       Roll Call: unanimous.Huber Introduce Resolution No. 10-18-1 Approving the FY 17/18 Annual State Finance Report as posted and published, seconded by Pegump. Roll Call: Unanimous.Kane introduced Resolution No. 10-18-2 Approving Snyder & Associates Engineering Services Agreement/Scope of Services for the 2nd Street S. Road Improvement Project with correction to page 6 of scope of services, seconded by Bergmeier. Roll Call: Unanimous.Kane introduced Resolution No. 10-18-3 Approving Contract of Services from ION Environmental Solutions for Sanitary Sewer Plant Operations with a start date of October 15th, 2018, seconded by Huber. Roll Call: Unanimous. Mayor Proclamation marking the 50th Anniversary of Home Rule in Iowa.Other areas of discussion included but not limited to the following: Water issues with private culverts are the owners responsibly.Park and Recreation October 2, 2018 minutes received and placed on file.Kane moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:43 p.m., seconded by Huber.
