Walford Park and Recreation Minutes
Regular Meeting Tuesday December 5th, 2023
Meeting called to order at 7:14 pm. Miner, Hebert, & Werner were present. Heber & Davis absent.
Motion to nominate Werner for Board Chair by Miner, seconded by Hebert. Werner nomination approved - Approved unanimous.
Motion to approve November 7th meeting minutes by Miner, seconded by Hebert. Approved unanimous.
IVL Softball addition discussion
Possibility for addition of LL and PL softball in 2024. Work needed to determine funding within budget:
Umpire expenses
Jerseys
Balls, bats, shared equipment (helmets, catcher gear)
Field supplies and maintenance, validate good condition of bleachers.
Investigate electronic registration options and possible release in January.
Baseball discussion
Review of 2023 rosters needed to determine potential 2024 numbers

Tree Grant - current plan suspended due to inability to meet the current program requirements
Tree at Knapp Creek Park (evergreen in south corner) needs trimmed up to 6' from the ground to remove dead branches.
For spring - grading, dirt, and grass seeding around pickle ball court.
